This weekend my wife Lee and I attended the Zappos Rewards “Friends With Benefits” Roadshow in Austin. We stopped by last Saturday with some friends, grabbed some mimosas and hung out to listen to some of the live music. They also had a huge moving wall and a interactive TV where you could give high-fives to someone hanging out at the Zappos’ headquarters in Las Vegas.
If you haven’t signed up for their rewards program, I highly recommend it. It’s completely free, and Lee and I shop with Zappos enough that because of the rewards program, we get free 1-day shipping on anything we order! I just bought a pair of shoes today at 2 pm, and they’re going to be here tomorrow… that’s convenient.
It was cool to see that Zappos was giving back with some of the publicity it was generating by working with the local animal shelters to help find their dogs’ new homes. They had a bunch of dogs and puppies there you could adopt, and Zappos covered all the fees. They’ve already covered the fees for 16,000 pet adoptions! You can find more info on it here.
For the event, Zappos was kind enough to provide some credits to shop with. As I mentioned before, Lee and I use them all the time, so that was a pleasant surprise. We’ve been having some warm weather down here in Austin, and I wanted to get something that would transition well into Spring, so I picked up a denim shirt, joggers, and Adidas Originals Superstars. I’ve been meaning to buy some joggers for a while, and the white Superstars go with almost anything.
