3 Business Books That Can Help You Succeed

Kapten & Son Watch - Business BooksI was going to write a post about my favorite business book, but that’s doesn’t make much sense. Each book has the ability to make you a better or smarter person in a different way, so trying to pick just one didn’t seem right.  If you want to be successful, you should be reading regularly.  It’s like having a one-on-one meeting with a great mentor – except much cheaper and easier.

I’ve recommended 3 books below that can help you be successful – with a small summary of what you will get out of each.

Rich Dad Poor Dad – Robert T. Kiyosaki

If you don’t already have your own business or personal investments outside of mutual funds I highly recommend you read this.  It talks about the mentality it takes to become rich.  This isn’t one of those get rich quick books, but instead helps to put money in perspective.  READ IT.

Contagious – Jonah Berger

Contagious talks about what it takes to make a product or idea spread quickly.  I like to re-listen to it when I’m working on a new business or project, because I’m almost guaranteed to find some actionable advice I can immediately implement.

Predictably Irrational – Dan Ariely

Predictably Irrational shines the light on how just irrational people are.  The key is that they aren’t just randomly irrational, they are irrational in a very predictable way.  Understanding how people will react irrationally can help you to negotiate better, sell your products, or even motivate employees.
