There’s a characteristic I’ve found among successful and spiritual people alike. It alone won’t propel someone in to great success, but when you pair it with someone who’s already motivated, it’s like throwing gas onto their proverbial flame. They just seem to perform and accomplish more in spite of everything else.
The catch is that it’s a belief that many people struggle to accept. So many of us are so pessimistic when it comes to believing what we’re able to accomplish. We’re unknowingly sabotaging ourselves with our own perceived limitations. So what is it? It’s the unwavering confidence that we can handle anything we set out to achieve.
Ok, I know it sounds cheesy, but follow with me.
I’m a very logical person; I take very little at face value, and I question everything. I’m not trying to feed you a load of BS to make you feel better about yourself. Throughout the years of meeting successful people, I’ve heard a wide range of what I’ll call spiritual philosophies about how to be more successful.
From visualizing what you want to achieve will bring it to you, to knowing that every step along your path is part of God’s plan, to harnessing the worlds energy to help you succeed. What these all have in common is that the people following them believe there is something outside of themselves that is guiding them and helping them achieve their goals. It’s that core belief that helps them succeed. It helps turn off the pessimistic voice in their head that tells them they can’t achieve something, because they believe there is an outside force that will help them make it happen.
Their unwavering believe that they can achieve something without a shred of evidence that it’s possible is so powerful, and so vital to massive success. The best part about this is that now that you’re aware of it you can harness for your own goals.
You want to create a massive non-profit to help the homeless in your city? Do it! You want to create a business where you can work from a beach while making 10 times what you make now? Make it happen!
Regardless what you’re goals are, believe in yourself, even in the face of evidence your goal isn’t possible. You’ll be surprised how far it will take you.
